Westpac Smarts: 4-Day-Work-Week
Date: Friday 28 Sep 2018 Time: 12:30pm to 1:30pm
Venue: Wellington Chamber of Commerce Level 7, 3-11 Hunter St
Could reducing our workweek by one day improve productivity, engagement, employee wellbeing and stress levels?
Andrew Barnes, founder and managing director of Perpetual Guardian, drew national and global attention earlier this year with his announcement that the company would trial a four-day work week for all staff. Over eight weeks in March and April 2018, Perpetual Guardian experimented with a globally unprecedented form of a four-day week across the business. The remarkable point of difference: there was no compression of expected work schedules (such as four 10-hour days) or reduction in salaries. Simply, employees were able to nominate and receive a day off each week, at full pay.
Join us at our next Westpac Smarts session with Andrew Barnes as he covers:
- Four-day week – why and how to conduct a trial?
- The flexible working revolution
- Culture and art as a business tool
