Westpac Smarts Agile Leadership

Date: Friday 30 Nov 2018     Time: 12:30pm to 1:30pm

Venue: Wellington Chamber of Commerce Level 7, 3-11 Hunter St

‘Agile’ is so much more than just a buzzword. Come along to our upcoming Westpac Smarts session to hear what the fuss is really about.

Guest Speaker and Agile Transformation Specialist, Erika Barden, will be discussing what it means to ‘be’ Agile, not just ‘do’ Agile, particularly when it comes to leadership and management roles. She’ll cover the importance of having a growth mindset, and outline key leadership trends, such as ‘Self-organising teams’ and ‘servant leadership.’ You’ll learn the best ways to adapt so you can continuously meet the changing needs of your teams and customers. Plus, if you thought the words ‘scrum’ and ‘sprint’ were to do with rugby, you’ll be interested to find out their other meanings.

Erika Barden is Head of Agile for Frank Innovation & Transformation, and has 20 years of leading successful transformations in NZ, the UK and Ireland, and ‘real world’ experience as an Uber Scrum Master, authorised ICAgile trainer, and Agile Transformation Coach. Erika’s expertise range from bringing products to market in a lean start-up environment to assisting multi-national mergers. A firm believer in ‘people over process’, Erika loves sharing her knowledge and experience to help people become better at leading, following, and delivering.

You’ll leave with an understanding of what you need to do to retain relevance in this time of disruption, and what skills and behaviours are critical to success, whether you have a manager or leader, or hold a management/ leadership position yourself.

Register now to find out what Agile really means.
