International Support
The international trade department at the Wellington Employers’ Chamber of Commerce is here to offer your business help with exporting, importing and other matters related to your business here and overseas.
The Chamber is part of a global chamber network that spans almost every country in the world.
That network was established by business people for business people. As such a key focus of the Chamber is to promote trade and provide services for both established and new exporters. The Wellington Employers’ Chamber of Commerce offers the following trade services
-
ATA Carnets
If you are taking goods overseas on a temporary basis then apply for an ATA Carnet. Carnets cover a wide range of goods including commercial samples, professional equipment, scientific equipment, goods for display at exhibitions and fairs, and goods for sporting events.
-
Certificates of Origin
If you are exporting overseas, especially to Asia or the Middle East then you may need a Certificate of Origin or chamber certified documents for your goods. Certificates of Origin are issued to exporters to certify the country of origin of specified goods. The Chamber can also verify the authenticity of other export documentation including commercial invoices, bill of ladings, insurance documents and MAF certificates.
-
Global Link
The Chambers Global Link page is the place to go for the other wealth of trade information held by the Chamber. Here you will find information on exporting, trade fairs from around the globe, delegations that may be visiting New Zealand or the Chamber, overseas companies looking for importers or suppliers, ICC publications and more.

Free Trade Agreements
The following page offers links to information regarding the China New Zealand and ASEAN Australia New Zealand (AANZFTA) free trade agreements. Our international team can also provide advice on requirements your products may have to meet to gain preferential tariff under these agreements.
