The Wellington Employers' Chamber of Commerce is participating in an initiative to give migrant investors access to New Zealand business networks. Networks and relationship building are essential to doing business in New Zealand, and research shows that foreign investors often find it difficult to navigate the New Zealand business landscape.

As part of the intitiative, Immigration New Zealand has developed a new website, www.investmentnow.govt.nz, with the aim of providing potential investors with insight into the New Zealand business environment, and to connect investors to New Zealand investment and business networks. New Zealand can in turn benefit from the wealth of expertise, international networks, and funds migrant investors bring.

New investor policies facilitating a pathway to residence in New Zealand for migrants who would like to invest here were released last August. There are two categories for investors wishing to invest a minimum of either NZ$1.5 million or $10 million. You can tap into the project by alerting us to investment opportunities, or by referring prospective migrant investors to register on the website for further assistance. The attached PDF provides more information about the intitiative.
