BA5 with Experience Wellington

Date: Thursday 27 Jun 2019     Time: 5:30pm to 7:30pm

Venue: Space Place at Carter Observatory, 40 Salamanca Rd

Discover the stories of our New Zealand skies at the BA5 with Experience Wellington.

Experience Wellington operates Wellington City Council’s cultural assets, including Space Place, located at the Carter Observatory. This is where they share stories of New Zealand’s skies through multimedia exhibits, interactive galleries, the historic Thomas Cooke telescope, and the digital, full-dome planetarium.

Join us this Matariki for your chance to explore Space Place with the Experience Wellington team and hear from the Chief Executive Pat Stuart about Space Place’s history; and an introduction to Experience Wellington’s Venue hire options, and opportunities for you to get involved.

Attendees will also experience a planetarium taster to learn about planets, stars, constellations and galaxies, as well as New Zealand’s contribution to astronomy and space science.

You might even get a chance to spot the Matariki star cluster during the star gazing session.*

In the usual BA5 fashion, the evening will begin with drinks, nibbles and networking prior to presentations.

Register now.

*Star gazing is subject to weather conditions
