Wellington Election Debate 2020

Date: Wednesday 19 Aug 2020     Time: 5:30pm to 7:30pm

Venue: Lecture Theatre 1, Rutherford House, Victoria University of Wellington, 6011

The Wellington Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with JacksonStone & Partners, are proud to present the Wellington Election Debate 2020.

The impact of COVID-19 has created significant economic challenges and, post-election, businesses will look to the next government to provide sound leadership towards recovery.

For Wellington, that not only means finding our feet post-lockdown, but also addressing some of the region’s major issues - years of under-investment, the urgent need to fix the broken pipes, and get Wellington actually moving.

Hear from Grant Robertson (Labour), James Shaw (Greens), Nicola Willis (National), Brook van Velden (ACT) and Tracey Martin (NZ First), on how their party will support Wellington businesses, and what they’ll do for our city over the next three years.

Please note, while there are no restrictions on gatherings under Alert Level 1, we are following the Voluntary Code for event professionals. More details on this code are available here.

A note from our event partners:

JacksonStone & Partner’s partnership with the Wellington Chamber to bring you this event is simple to explain. We are a committed Wellington-based business and we want our city to thrive and prosper as a place to work, live, study and play. We are looking forward to hearing the candidates for Wellington Central tell us what their aspirations are for our city and how they will deliver on these.
