Business Central changes

Business Central has reached a decision to outsource its consultancy services to its sister organisation the Employers' and Manufacturers' Association Northern (EMAN).

The outsourcing is the result of a review of the consultancy part of the business. There was a thorough consultation process with affected staff. The affected staff were advised of the decision yesterday.

The services will be managed by EMAN and there will continue to be a team with employment relations and health and safety expertise working in the central region to service members.

The agreement to outsource Business Central's consultancy services enables Business Central to continue to provide members with support, advice and representation in the key areas of employment relations and health and safety.

Business Central will continue to provide learning and development services through training courses, conferences, coaching and mentoring as well as our international trade and advocacy and policy activities.

We are confident the partnering arrangement with EMAN in the consultancy area offers a financially sound model for this area of our business and uses our members' funds responsibly. We look forward to our membership throughout central New Zealand continuing to benefit from high quality services delivered locally.
