About Brittany

Brittany believes in creating positive and safe workplace environments in order to improve the livelihood and mental well-being of people within our communities. Brittany is passionate about inclusive, just and people-orientated workplace relations (HR/ER) and health and safety management. Brittany has a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Human Resource Management & Industrial Relations and Management from Victoria University of Wellington.

Previous work experience

Brittany previously worked as the Business Partner for a large Health and Safety and Employment Relations specialist firm, where she has helped hundreds of business owners and management staff across multiple industries to meet compliance with employment relations and health and safety legislation, undertaking workplace site reviews, risk assessments, contract prequalification, developing safety management plans, accident and incident management, providing guidance on good practice policy and procedures, run training sessions for third party businesses and NGOs’ management staff on health and safety and HR/ER and provided representation support at various meetings such as disciplinary investigations.

Small changes today for a safer and healthier work environments tomorrow

The most rewarding thing for Brittany is the flow-on effect that training on health and safety and HR/ER matters has on workplaces, with workers developing a deeper understanding of Health and Safety and good practice management, having a meaningful impact on many stakeholders within a business who are affected by the workplace decisions made by their Employer. Brittany believes it is the small changes we make today, that can impact workers tomorrow and into the future, creating safer, healthier and more fair work environments.
