Join us at our next Beehive to Business event for 2024, with Hon. Barbara Edmonds, Labour Party spokesperson for Finance and Infrastructure.

Following the hotly anticipated first budget of the Coalition Government on 30th May, Barbara will share her reflections on the budget and the Labour party’s priorities for economic development. This will be Barbara’s first budget as Labour spokesperson for finance, going head-to-head with Hon. Nicola Willis on her first budget as Finance Minister.

Barbara is uniquely placed to provide deep insight into the budget as she holds two key portfolios that impact business (Finance and Infrastructure), has a background as a specialist tax lawyer, and has been a Minister in the most recent Labour government.

Barbara will delve into the detail of the budget and her views on what it means for business, as well as what businesses can expect from Labour while in opposition and their vision for the future.

Barbara is a strong supporter of the Power of Three, a unique collaboration between the Wellington Chamber of Commerce, Te Awe Māori Business Network, and the Wellington Pasifika Business Network.
